For the past few months, I have been in Southeast Asia, specifically Indonesia, and I have been trying out new airlines in both economy and business class.
However, I found something strange in economy class on my Garuda Indonesia flight from Singapore – SIN to Jakarta – CGK…
Yes, you see it correctly, it’s metal cutlery in economy. No, not premium economy, but regular economy get’s metal cutlery on this two hour flight.
For reference here is the meal before opening the cutlery.
I am just amazed that cutlery in economy is still metal on some airlines, especially on such a short flight like this one which was only 2 hours.
I am only aware of a few airlines that offer metal cutlery in economy, like JAL and Turkish, just to name a few. However, I have never encountered metal cutlery on an economy flight till this flight I took march 6th.
The point of this post is I am living under a rock and need to fly even more.
